photoblog image Sheep Saturday

Sheep Saturday

seen in Dutch Friesland on the dyke - the sheep radiating inner peace and satisfaction may grant us a feeling of calmness and inner balance, too - maybe, this is one reason why I love the sheep so much - I asked the sheep if I would be allowed to take a picture of her - she baaed, and this sounded like the German/Dutch 'JA'.

You and I have the same reason for liking sheep. You have a better empathy with them though as I usually just get views of their bottoms as they run off. I see this Texel(?) has a useful carrying handle on her left
Philine: Oh no, you have much empathy with these dear fellows. I think the sheep has to be shorn, we were on the continent, not on Texel island where are lots of sheep. Enjoy your day, Alan, and thanks!
A well groomed sheep Philine
Philine: I think the sheep has to be shorn. Many thanks, Bill!
I always squirm when I see those labels attached to their ears, whatever the experts say it must hurt when its done.
Philine: I think the same like you. There are some customs the freshly animals have to suffer from, think for example of castrating the piglets. Now there is a new law in our country which forbids the castration by only local anaistesia. Many thanks, Brian!
this sheep has such a lovely face Philine....petersmile
Philine: Yes, a lovely face - many thanks, peter!
Getting up close!
Philine: Merci bien!
