This looks like a pleasant stroll, Philine.
Philine: when the weather is pretty like on that afternoon after the rain. Many thanks, Ray!

L'automne est une belle saison pour les couleurs.
Philine: J'adore l'automne. Merci bien, Martine!
A nice montage - I can feel a bit of a nip in the air!
Philine: I like that cooler temperature. Many thanks, Elizabeth!

Frankfurt is a pleasant, modern city with a wealthy feel to it. Well they do deal in a lot of money. I know the old Centre was recreated as it once was but it seems sad that so much is lost.
Philine: Frankfurt is not my favourite city in Germany, a bit of Mainhattan indeed, but it has wonderful musea. Many thanks, Chad!
I am sure that you can feel a bit of the uneasy, troubled atmosphere in Spain, hopefully they will find a solution for the Catalonian situation.

I was annoyed that our cruise ship did not call in here but sailed through during the night.
Philine: I think other towns are more beautiful like Würzburg, Iphoven ... Frankfurt is a global business city like many others in our world.

It looks as if one ancient building has survived the ravages of history Philine. Presumably a church or cathedral - so hurrah for that!
Philine: This is the Dom. Yes, Frankfurt was heavily destroyed in WWII, now it is a typically modern city with skyscrapers, shop malls, busy traffic, international population. I think München is more beautiful. Many thanks, Chris!

Mmmm.. I would certainly enjoy this. I would walk too, rather than cycle, as I see more and can stop to admire the scene and to take photos. I like the colours in the trees. Is that a hotel ship top right?
Philine: Frankfurt is not my favourite city, its nickname is 'Mainhattan', rather americanised. That ship is a cruise ship. Chad passed Frankfurt during his cruise trip along the Rhine/Main/Danube, too, but during the night. Other towns are quite more beautiful and of historic flair.

How nice, I´ve have walked there too, last sunday morning! About the middle of the day, the sun came out, it was very pleasant. Its a pity I didn´t meet you there Philine!
Philine: I walked only for one hour along this Main- promenade and enjoyed the sun while sitting outside and eating a piece of cake in the Main Café. Next time I want to cross the "Eiserner Steg". Heel bedankt, Salima!
It does look a very nice riverside walk, and I can understand the modern buildings being built after WWII, how lucky the Dom wasn't destroyed.
Philine: Yes, the Dom is worth a visit. Frankfurt might be the most modern city in our country, the city of the banks. It is not my favourite city, but I enjoyed going along the Main river. Many thanks, Brian!
This looks a very nice walk, Philine.
Philine: Nice for sure with the view on the silhouette of scyscrapers, the nickname is "Mainhattan", rather Americanised. Many thanks, Frank! It seems to be very difficult to sell a house in England. I saw the sign 'Sale' very often in UK.
It looks a thriving modern city Philine
