Very nice!!! Love this!
This is a great composition Philine... i love the textures... but your rectangles are all squares todaygrin....petersmile
Philine: Yes, you are right: square - I have still some problem in using the right geometrical terms in English. Thank you, peter, for your kind words!

This is so solid and agreeable Philine: wood can have a profound but often understated influence on our lives
Philine: Oh, I must think of your Benchie made of fine, old wood! Many thanks, Chris!

An image to stare at, Philine! I love the hinges on the window, knowing it can open.
Philine: Heel bedankt, Ginnie! Yes, I was immediately attracted by this little window - the whole house shows fine, proper timberwork.
I really like this shot.
Philine: Thank you,Jacquelyn!
Some lovely old timber here Philine.
Philine: Yes, this is a framework-house, but not built in Tudor style - thank you kindly, Bill! Later I should post a special series about half- timbering in Germany, there are so different styles of old timber like in GB.
Lots of weathered and wrinkled bits and pieces in this image Philine. Ha!
Philine: Nicely expressed, I thought of an old woman like the witch in the fairy tale "Hansel and Gretel" Thank you kindly, Richard!

Simple is good - nice shadows too.
Philine: Yes, I love simplicity in photography - thank you kindly, Mike!
Simple but so effective.
Philine: Thank you kindly, Martin from Stone - in German Herr von Stein! You seem to have got a new name as a sort of appreciation!
A beautiful shot, very 'graphic'! You are developing as a photographer Philine!
Philine: Oh, heel bedankt, Wim, jij bent mijn leraar en ik kijk vaak hoe je een foto componeert, welk motief je heeft uitgekozen ...

Brilliant detail Philine, this could be in England, a shared heritage.
Philine: Yes, it reminds of Tudor style , "a shared heritage" indeed! Herzlichen Dank!

Such history in the old wood, I should think. It looks like the type of hinge where the window can be simply taken off once opened.
Philine: Yes, the type of hinge is special - on hot days the cows and pigs need more fresh air, but better would be if they could graze on fat, green meadows. Thank you kindly, Alan! I see you have survived the man flu again!
The simplicity of this image is lovely Philine.
Philine: thank you, Brian, für your kind words!
Fabulous composition in this light Philine!
Philine: Merci beaucoup, M. Richard!

I like the contrast of the wood against the white paint, Philine - it is all fresh and clean
Philine: Yes, you are right -thank you kindly, Lisl!
