photoblog image Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland

I have the feeling that we should pay more attention to the situation and beautiful landscape of Northern Ireland. Rarely pictures of Northern Ireland are shown on SC, it doesn't seem to be a popular area for travelling and holidaying in Britain .... Therefore I want to show some pictures from my last journey to Northern Ireland last year, although they are not the best ones. This picture was taken as we drove along the  Coast Road.

There is an impressive sense of depth in this fine image, Philine.

You are right Philine and I look forward to the series. The North of Ireland has a beauty untainted by the British presence.
Good for you, Philine. I have actually been to Harte, Ireland, way up on the NW side, in a past-past life, just because my imagination says I have relatives from there. I will enjoy going back there with you in your photos.

This looks like a great trip and I love the coast line. Maybe it is good that this place does not get overrun by tourists and destroy it on their way, like they do with so many beautiful place on this globe.... I will enjoy your pictures, Philine.

Northern Ireland is reputed to have gorgeous natural scenery Philine. I look forward to your pictures

The Brits don't like to think about the place too much..
Magnifique ta photo , un pays qui m'attire beaucoup !
I have never travelled to Northern Ireland although I have been to the Republic a couple of times.
I like the distancd you've got ni this picture Philine. The nearest to Ireland we have been is the Isle of Man, part way across the Irish Sea, but on a fine day we have seen Ireland in the distance from the top of Snaefell on the IOM.

Now I've never been to Northern island, although I have been to Eire (just once). From what I have seen in other photos, it's a beautiful place. You did not have the best of weather for this one, unfortunately.

A very good composition, with those rocks and the foggy water, from very solid to soft...
My oldest son was in Ireland last week but did not have the opportunity to travel around.
