Can you see the sheep?

in  the Weihnachtsmarkt in Weimar this year

"Christmas pyramids (Weihnachtspyramide) are Christmas decorations that have their roots in the folklore and customs of the Ore Mountain region of Germany, but which have become popular internationally. They comprise a decorated pyramidal outer frame with candle holders and a central carousel with a rotor at the top which is driven by warm air from the lit candles. The carousel is decorated with nativity scenes and other Christmas figures such as angels and wise men, as well as worldly motifs such as mining folk and forest scenes."

Thank you for yesterday's comments!

Philine: Chris' comment was deleted: "It looks very Christmassy at night Philine"

These christmaspyramids are so typical in East- Germany. Many thanks, Chris!

Are those creatures on the top of the windmill thing sheep?

It is quite a structure!
Philine: The sheep with the shepherd are on the second floor. Many thanks, Bill! Formerly we had such a Christmas pyramid also at home.

It’s very attractive, I think, though, that the candles need to generate far more heat to drive the carousel, though! I believe the sheep are at the top below the rotor although can:t be too sure.
Philine: This Christmas pyramid is driven by a motor, not by the candles lit on. But formely we had such a smaller pyramid at home driven by real candles. It is a typical Christmas decoration on our Christmas markets with different nativity scenes and Christmas carols. Many thanks, Alan!
What a lovely thing to have in town.
The stars and comets on the top are very pretty at night.
